The way I loved you

The way I liked your smile, No alcoholic ever liked their drinks. The way I worshipped you, No saint ever worshipped God in life. The way I wanted you, No one ever longed so deep for happiness. The way I wanted you, No asura ever waited for Shiva in stillness. Is liking the only way to show your love? Or is it the trembling soul beneath the smile that speaks it? Is worshipping the only way to prove your heart? Or is it the silent prayer that never reaches heaven? Is wanting a single soul your test of loyalty? Or the surrender that comes with losing yourself within it? And is waiting the proof of it all? Or the slow burning faith that time cannot erase? Did you look at me the same, The way I saw the universe expand when your pupils dilated? Did you love me the same, The way I am loving you for my eternity? Because I, In every breath, In every ache, In every trembling.. Whisper of your name, keep asking Was my love only mine? Or did your heart ever echo the same?
